Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED ALEX DESMARAIS November 13, 1962 - May 17, 2001 Peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2001 at 8:00 p.m., Wilfred passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Besides his mother, Lena Desmarais, he leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Bryan, Alex, and Wilfred Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth; brothers, Baptiste and wife Janice of Edmonton, Herman and Freddy of Winnipeg; sisters, Mary, Irene, Diane and Florence of Winnipeg, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Desmarais. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Baptiste Desmarais, Andrew Roulette, Steven Tyo, Stephen Tyo Jr., Tom Chartrand, and Nelson Sinclair. Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., 586-7700.
